Solving problems (Lo Bianco)
The traditional view of LP as "solving problems" is still going strong, and this is what we researchers are facing when we are dealing with macro-level policy-makers in various development projects etc. We are asked to find a one size fits all solution to a specific problem, usually predefined by ministries etc. There's no much space for performance or giving alternative scenarios, because "this is too academic, rocket science". This is a true challenge and worth thinking about in redefining the status and position of LP in society.

... And when we think about "solving problems", the one who gets to name the problem always has the advantage!
